Carinthia the region south-west of the Austrian capital Vienna, separated by the Southern Alps from the rest of Austria is with its lakes a beautiful landscape all year around. In a few minutes by car you will cross the border to Italy with the famous town of Venice just 160 miles away. The city of Villach is an important crossroad of the north-south passage from Southern Germany to Northern Italy.
The Language
The people of Villach speak German as their native tongue, but most people understand a fair bit of English and in some cases, even a bit of Italian. However, the official meeting language will be English no simultaneous translations.
